Hot pecan rolls in a chafing dish, custom omelets, waffles made to order and fresh cantaloupe juice greet physicians who arrive early to do rounds. Throughout the day, tempting lunches and high tea pastries keep physicians in close contact with hospital executive leadership in the physicians’ lounge, just a few steps from the CEO and CFO’s offices. This is a place where collegial impromptu conversations can occur among physicians and where residents can meet to confer.
