The expansion and renovation of this emergency department is based on creating an optimal experience for patients, physicians, and nurses. Phase I of five phases includes waiting area, meditation room, triage, security, and fast track beds. It features a fireplace, saltwater aquarium, garden with waterfall and audio rock concealing a speaker from which guests hear sounds of nature (birds, frogs, water), refreshments area, library with magazines and books, TV nook, indirect lighting, diverse types seating (including bariatric), furniture arranged for privacy groupings.
