Many amenities were incorporated into the design to reduce patients’ stress: coved ceilings in the linear accelerator rooms have a “rainbow” around the perimeter created by fiber optic lights and constellations of “stars” in the dome overhead; rooms also have back-lit film images of nature and wood-look floors. Varied ceiling heights add interest, as does an extensive collection of art.
