Inside, the waiting room has vibrant colors, an energizing change from the meditation rotunda. Registration spaces provide privacy; there is a choice of seating and numerous works of art to provide diversion. These include the metal leaf sculpture mobile spreading out from the skylight around the waiting area.

A focal point of the waiting room is the Women of Distinction, five inspirational and celebrated women, each representing a different culture and career path: an astrophysicist/university president, an internationally prominent architect, an Olympic champion, a celebrated novelist, and a Nobel laureate environmental activist from Kenya.
