Location: Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Oakland, CA

The rush and hustle of daily life stops abruptly as one enters the meditation foyer of the Breast Center. The softly illuminated space has a deep blue color and vertical bands of mosaic glass tile simulating water, the effect enhanced by the soothing sound of a trickling stream emanating from concealed speakers. Limestone benches beckon one to sit and unwind for a few moments before continuing on to the registration area.
